Biggest Solar Storm in Eight Years to strike Earth

The biggest solar storm to hit earth this year has started weathering
earth pretty early with a giant wave of charged up particles from sun
slammed into earth’s magnetic field on Tuesday morning, Jan 22, 2012.
The sun erupted late in the evening with M8.7 class solar flare. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory caught the solar flare and a burst of coronal mass ejection (CME) which was directed towards earth.
