mars surface dry spots According to scientists, Mars would have been a better host for life if given with the same raw materials. Early earth is believed to have been too much flooded by water to take hold of chemistry of water. Mars had dry land spots which might have supported the building blocks of molecules for withholding the life.

Scientists believe that Mars was once filled with adequate amount of water and had dry spots of land too contrary to popular belief that early earth had about 2 to 3 times excess water that it has now. If that belief is true, then earth had no dry land in the early stages because water must have fully engulfed the surface of earth.
